Okie’s Butcher Shop
For the grill-master dad
If your dad waits all year to get the BBQ grill fired up, then you have to take him to Okie’s Butcher Shop. Okie’s the highest quality meats around and some amazing sides to accompany them. Our favorites are the classics like potato salad, macaroni salad and coleslaw. Stop by to pick up a huge array of burgers, steaks, and marinated chicken to throw on the grill or surprise dad with a gift card here so he can swing by and pick out exactly what he wants. Make dad feel like the king of the grill by giving him some new grill tools (and maybe even a “Best Dad Ever” apron?) to make Father’s Day complete.
Iron Oak Smokehouse
For the dad who thinks he’s a grill master but really shouldn’t be
If you’ve seen dad scorch burgers on the BBQ one too many times, maybe it’s time to leave Father’s Day dinner to the professionals. Iron Oak Smokehouse is LBI’s newest BBQ joint serving up mouthwatering platters right in Beach Haven. Spring for the Texas Trio to try your choice of three juicy meats like brisket, pork ribs and sausage served with two homemade sides. Wash it all down with a housemade sangria and you’ll be in dad’s good graces in no time. We know he’ll appreciate not cooking just as much as you’ll appreciate not having char grilled hockey pucks for dinner.
Topsail Steamer
For the seafood-loving, feet-in-the-sand dad
If your dad loves seafood, you have to pick up a seafood boil from Topsail Steamer this Father’s Day. They make it so easy to prepare it yourself at home by including everything you need, including the pot! Also, it’s just insanely good. Set up a huge table outside, grab some melted butter and lots of paper towels and get ready to dig in! Nothing too fancy here, just the way dad likes it. We love the Miss Emily II bucket with a lobster tail for everyone, tons of shrimp, clams, crab and sausage.
Triton Craft Beer and Oyster Bar
For the IPA-sipping, raw-bar-snacking dad
Craft beers are a total dad magnet and at Triton Craft Beer and Oyster Bar they’ve got enough to keep dad happy as a clam. At any given time they have 10+ craft beers in rotation both local and from around the country. If drinking IPAs makes you hungry, Triton has an incredible raw bar outfitted with four different types of oysters or some of the best coal fired pizza on LBI. Dad will be in craft beer heaven!
Blue Water Café
For the health-conscious dad
If your dad leans more toward fresh ingredients, big breakfast platters, and hearty-but-clean meals, Blue Water Café is a perfect fit. Their brunch menu is a local favorite and includes standouts like crab cake benedict, huevos rancheros, and cinnamon bun French toast. It's a great way to kick off Father’s Day if your crew wants something a little more refined but still totally laid-back.
The Chicken or the Egg (Chegg)
For the no-frills, wings-and-breakfast-anytime dad
Is it really a trip to LBI without a stop at Chegg? If your dad’s the type who wants a no-fuss, good-vibes kind of meal, Chegg is always a win. Famous for their wings and all-day breakfast, this iconic spot has something for every kind of eater. Get there early or be prepared to wait—it’s popular for a reason. Bonus points if you surprise dad with a Chegg T-shirt or hot sauce bottle on the way out.
Whether you're whipping something up at home, firing up the grill, or treating dad to a full seafood spread, the most important thing is spending time together. LBI has no shortage of delicious ways to celebrate the #1 man in your life. Just don’t forget to call ahead, make a plan, and maybe let dad pick the playlist for once. 😉
